EUNICE ~ Visitation for Viola P. Bellard will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am, both at True Light Baptist Church in Eunice. Rev. Christopher Arvie the pastor of St. Mark Baptist Church of New Orleans with officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Reeds Cemetery in Mamou, LA.
Viola P. Bellard, age 89, passed away on January 15, 2017 at 1:33 am at Camelot Place in Crowley, LA.
She enjoyed praying and reading the bible, sewing, cooking and opening her home to those in need.
Survivors include: five sons: Walter Bellard, Jr. of Pahrump, NV, Russell Bellard, Wilfred Bellard and Micheal Bellard all of Eunice and Willis D. Bellard of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Zita Senegal of Lake Charles, LA.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents: Oday and Caldonia Pete; husband, Walter Bellard, Sr.; daughter, Bonnie Orebeau; one grandson, Justin Bellard; and 3 sisters: Stella Antoine, Mable Soileau and Verly Adams; and daughter-in-law, Debra Bellard.
Pallbearers will be: Kendall Bellard, David Senegar, Moses Dupre, Lee Savoy, Xavier Polan, Ronald Bellard, Michael Orebo and Prentis Shaw.
