With much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Waynon Thibodeaux in his 71st year with family by his side at the Louisiana Extended Care in Lafayette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.
Waynon was a local carpenter for over forty years. All his life he enjoyed training and running dogs and loved camping and hunting, but most of all he loved his family. He was loyal and well respected as well as a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. Heaven’s gain is our loss.
Waynon leaves behind his son, Billy Hughes and wife, Jessie of Youngsville; his three daughters, Katina Thibodeaux and Trisha Thibodeaux all of Eunice, Joana Rozas and husband, Tony of Basile; his three brothers, Perry Thibodeaux and wife, Peggy, Burnell Thibodeaux and wife, Barbara and Keylon Thibodeaux all of Eunice; his two sisters, Sheila Fuselier and husband, Allen of Eunice and Marla Vanicor and husband, Marcus of Church Point; his twelve joys of his life his grandchildren, Taylor Thibodeaux, Hailey Thibodeaux, Michael Guillory, Logan LeDoux, Kelsey LeDoux, Matthew LeDoux, Arys Rozas, Hayden Rozas, Wes Rozas, Wyatt Rozas, Luke Rozas and Adalyn Rozas and one great grandchild, K. J. Deville; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bundick Thibodeaux and his parents, Cleveland and Hazel Thibodeaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, December 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 13th from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
