EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Bourdier announces his passing on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 63.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum in Basile with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.
Bill was proud to have been a manager in The Theater business for many years and won many awards in promoting opening movies. He was in a position as a sales manager at John R. Young Chevrolet Buick GMC. He had a great sense of humor but most of all he was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherished his memory is his wife of twelve years, Joni Holcomb Bourdier a native of Basile and a resident of Eunice; his son, William Jack Bourdier and wife, Debbie of Odessa, TX; his daughters, Holly Renee Myers and husband, Joshua of Holden, Heather Denise Vela and fiancé, David White of Lafayette, Victoria Ashley Achord and husband, Justin of Crowley; step sons, Jeffery Syfert of Sulphur, Jeno Holcomb of Eunice and Jase Holcomb of Basile; his sisters, Ceillia Ann Bourdier and Vernelle Marie Albrecht both of Sulphur; his sixteen grandchildren, William Jack Bourdier, Jr, Tristian Jade Bourdier, Roman Blake Brown, Ashleigh and Kobe Spears, Morgan and Jonah Myers, Isaiah, Isabelle and Ezekiel Vela, Landon, Rhett, Charlize and Juliette Achord, Jesslyn Holcomb and Jeno Holcomb, Jr.; and two great grandchildren on the way; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton F. Bourdier and Margaret Badgley Roberts; a brother, Howard Bourdier and a sister, Margaret Guidry.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, August 24th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, August 25th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 5:00 pm on Friday.
