Zevella M. Duplechan passed away on January 3, 2017 at the age of 79.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 am, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice.
Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate.
Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Elton.
She is survived by eight sons, Karl Fontenot of Huntsville, TX, J.C. Fontenot and wife Donna of Beaumont, TX,
Randall Fontenot and wife Virginia of Magnolia, TX, Gary Fontenot and wife Shirley of Kirbyville, TX,
David Fontenot and wife Pat of Eunice, LA, Steve Fontenot and wife DeeDee of Mossy Grove, TN,
Sidney Joseph Duplechan and wife Janet of Middie, LA, and Mike Duplechan of Eunice, LA;
three brothers, Thomas Marcantel of Normangee, TX, Kenneth Marcantel of Magnolia, TX, and Ronnie Marcantel of Cypress, TX;
four sisters, Brinda Cormier of Iowa, LA, Sue Vanacour of Welsh, Patsy Marcantel of Tomball, TX, and Nell Francher of Tomball, TX.;
seventeen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren.
Zevella was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Myrtle Manuel Marcantel; her first husband,
John O. Fontenot; her second husband, Callahan "Tu Tu" Duplechan; one child, Randy Fontenot; one brother,
Jessie Marcantel; one sister, Marion Ferhley.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at
Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice.
A Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm by Deacon Gary Gaudin. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on
Friday at 8:00 am until the time of service.
