LDWF Hunter, Boater Education Classes for May Canceled Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
All Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) hunter and in-person boater education classes in May have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Youth Hunter Education Challenge state competition set for May 30 has been canceled.
LDWF is still offering students an online boating education class option at https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/boater-education.
As soon as it is deemed safe and appropriate, LDWF will schedule hunter education classes to meet public demand.
The events are among many affiliated with LDWF that have been either canceled or postponed in response to the pandemic.
Below is a listing of cancellations, postponements and closures. The public should monitor LDWF’s website - www.wlf.louisiana.gov/ - periodically to check on other events that may be canceled, postponed or rescheduled.
