The 11th annual Eunice Community Health Center’s biggest fundraiser, the Taster’s Choice, was held Wednesday evening inside the Mumphrey Center at LSUE.
Most likely the biggest crowd since its first one attended. People tasted, sampled different foods and desserts in different categories, from general entree, seafood, wild game and desserts. People were able to vote on their favorite food from designated categories, and winners were announced later in the evening. The cooking event was held from 6 to 9 p.m.
Geno Delafose & the French Rockin Boogie provided entertainment. A live and silent auction was also held during the evening.
Tickets for the event were $30 per person in advance and were also available at the door for $40 per person.
There were also the annual sponsors, platiumin, gold, green, and In Kind that contribute to the event each year and reserve tables for their company’s employees.
There were 24 cooking teams for the event.
