38th annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-Off

Shine and then rain... the show went on Saturday. The 38th annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off was held under the pavilion at the Northwest Community Center.
At the event there were 37 cooking booths, different food vendors, arts and crafts and live bands entertainment for the attendees to enjoy. There was also a table which included an accordion, fiddle and a guitar provided by the Louisiana Folk Roots for Kids to have their hand at playing an instrument. Jeanne Solis, executive director for Louisiana Folk Roots, assisted children.
The event began at 10 a.m. and concluded at 3:30 p.m. with winners from Amateur, Professional Cooking divisions and Showmanship/Booth Decorations awarded. (Photos by Myra Miller)
