Louisiana Right to Life brought its tour to Eunice on Thursday asking that the public sign a petition and contact legislators to keep exceptions for rape and incest from becoming legal reasons for abortions.
In front of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at noon, about 60 people, including seniors from Saint Edmund High School, gathered for the 50-stop tour that began in Galliano and ends in Springhill.
The tour in a recreation vehicle started about four weeks ago and is to continue through May 10.
The tour brings a message of protecting unborn children, helping mothers and keeping Louisiana’s Po-life laws intact, said Ben Clapper, Louisiana Right to Life executive director.
