March for Life in Eunice

Eunice’s March for Life walk was held Monday at noon. The walk began at North 2nd and ended at the Eunice Municipal Complex where area ministers led the crowd in prayer.
Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision and the first year of the Supreme Court overturning that decision.
Ministers offering prayers for the unborn and taking a stand for life were Travis Turner, president of the New Life Pregnancy Center in Mamou, the Rev. Gregory Gaspard of Unity Baptist Church in Lawtell, the Rev. Andrew Bates of First Baptist Church of Eunice, Deacon Gary Gaudin of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Rev. Alvin Ogea, a retired pastor of Trinity Baptist Church and associate pastor at Unity Baptist Church in Lawtell, the Rev. Bert Langley, director of Missions for Acadia Baptist Association and pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard.
