Over a thousand people went trick or treating at the second annual Trunk or Treat at LSUE campus Sunday evening.
Over 30 booths, with 182 volunteers including city marshals, were on campus. The booths which included decorated car trunks, and a scavenger hay booth were set up on the front parking lot of LSUE. Local businesses, individuals, political candidates, group and churches handed out trinkets and candy to youngsters.
The event is co-sponsored by LSU Eunice’s Campus Activity Board, the LSUE Staff Senate and LSUE Faculty Senate as well as community partners including the Eunice Fire Department, Eunice Marshall’s office, the Eunice Police Department, the Fraternal Order of Police, St. Landry Parish Sheriff, among others.
