About 4,000 fireworks were launched into the sky at the Eunice Fireworks Display at the Recreation Complex on Sittig Street. The crowd, below, gathered quickly for the 9 p.m. show.

Eunice High School Graduation was held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 17 inside the high school’s gymnasium.
Eunice High School has a 2024 graduating class of 151.
The class song is “The Climb,” by Miley Cyrus.
The class flower is the Southern Magnolia. The class motto is, “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
The class colors are Kelly green, black and white.
The Valedictorian is Josi Lemelle, Kinslei Larose is the Salutatorian and Historian is Alana Bushnell.
The principal at Eunice High School is Irma Trosclair.

The St. Edmund Catholic High School graduating class of 2024 includes 26 seniors.
The Senior Award ceremony was held May 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The graduation ceremony was held May 18 at 11 a.m. inside St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
The Summa Cum Laude Honor Graduates/Co-Valedictorians of the 2024 class are Gracie Cormier and Copeland Miller.
The class song is “Your Gonna Miss This,” by Trace Adkins. The Class colors are Royal blue and white. The class flower is a white rose.
