St. Edmund students celebrate homecoming week on campus

Students at St. Edmund High School are celebrating homecoming week with dress up days. Monday was Camouflage Day, Tuesday is Duo/Trio Day, Wednesday is Color Day, Thursday students will dress as Heroes or Royalty/Villains, and Friday students will be dressed in traditional Blue-Jay blue and white. TRIAD meets in Eunice

The TRIAD workshop, a quarterly St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s sponsored event, was held from 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the VFW Post 8971 Hall.
Live music was provided by Glenn Dale Fontenot of Breaux Bridge as well as door prizes were given away donated by merchants and health care providers.
There were health care providers and other related senior vendors, such as credit union, hospital care, hospice, insurance, sheriff department available for those attending.

In Honor and Remembrance 911 ceremony

911 ceremony held
The 21st anniversary of the 911 terrorists attacks was solemly honored, recognized and remembered during a In Honor and Remembrance ceremony sponsored by the Woodmen Life Chapter 243. Also the VFW Post 8971, American Legion Post 243, and the DAV chapter hosted the event.
A small crowd gathered together Sunday evening at the Eunice Circle Park.
The Boy Scouts Troop 425 performed a flag raising ceremony.
The Rev. Chris Frye pastor New Hope Fellowship gave the invocation. Angie L. McBride sang, “Star Spangled Banner.”
