The eighth Fête-Dieu du Teche was held Monday starting in Leonville and concluding at St. Martinville.
Stops were at Arnaudville, Cecilia, Breaux Bridge, parks and St. Martinville.
Some 50 boats traveled on Bayou Teche during the day that began with a launch at 9:30 a.m. and ended at 4:45 p.m. at St. Martinville.
The Rev. Travis Abadie, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, holds a monstrance aloft. The pastor is with Candide Wyble who delivered the ceremony in French.

St. Edmund students arrived for their first day of school Wednesday. Many arrived early on campus, and a noon dismissal for all students was set for today.
