Minutes:
I. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M. by Chairman Johnny Timmons.
II. Invocation was led by Chairman Johnny Timmons.
III. Roll Call:
Present: Jennifer Cravins, Tamie Sam, Judy Castille, CJ Allen and Chairman Johnny Timmons.
IV. Special Business:
Welcome new Board Member Tamie Sam.
1. Persons to address the Board of Directors.
St. Landry Parish Councilman Jody White attended to speak to the Board of Directors.
Mr. White stated that the Lawtell Water Board is the Governing Authority for the District.
If a Board Member receives a phone call about an issue, the Board has the authority to address it, and put in the proper call or paper work to the Plant Supervisor to get the job done.
Mr. White stated that it does not matter who gave the order as long as its done within protocol.
Mr. White also stated that the Water District would benefit by hiring a full time Plant Supervisor by advertising for the position as soon as possible.
Parish Government would be willing to purchase heavy duty equipment for the District if there is someone working at District that has knowledge to operate.
In closing Mr. White suggested calling him if any assistance is needed.
2. CJ Allen made a motion to accept the accounts payable report, Seconded by Jennifer Cravins.
On roll call: Yeas: Judy Castille, CJ Allen, Tamie Sam and Jennifer Cravins.
Nays: None.
Motion Carried.
A motion was made by CJ Allen to pay the bills and seconded by Jennifer Cravins
On roll call: Yeas: Jennifer Cravins, Tamie Sam, Judy Castille and CJ Allen.
Nays: None.
Motion Carried and seconded.
A unanimous decision was made to pay the bills.
3. Supervisor Michael Landry had updates for the System since the May Board Meeting.
Mr. Landry stated that all leaks reported have been repaired with the exception of two that still need to be repaired by the Contractor.
Mr. Landry also stated that regarding the Lead and Copper Revisions, the Districts Employees have started the process.
Mr. Landry informed the Board he came on site Monday and read meters with the Employees for a total of 7 hours.
Jennifer Cravins made a motion to accept Mr. Landry’s Report and pay him for hours worked reading meters.
Seconded by Judy Castille.

Nays: None
Motion Carried.
V. Jennifer Cravins made a motion to accept the minutes of the May Board Meeting as distributed, seconded by CJ Allen.
On roll call: Yeas: CJ Allen, Judy Castille, Tamie Sam and Jennifer Cravins.
Nays: None.
Motion Carried.
VI.
1. Nomination for a Treasurer for the Board of Directors.
Jennifer Cravins made a motion to nominate Judy Castille as Treasurer.
Seconded by CJ Allen.
On Roll Call: Yeas: Jennifer Cravins, Tamie Sam and CJ Allen.
Nays: None.
Motion Carried.
2. Discuss quote from Thibodeaux Electric Service and Estimate from Reed Gas, Inc.
The quote from Thibodeaux Electric will be to install a gas line from gas meter to front office generator.
The estimate from Reed Gas Inc. will be to purchase a new 250 AG propane tank to replace the old one.
CJ Allen made a motion to purchase a new Propane Tank to replace the old one.
Seconded by Jennifer Cravins.
On Roll Call: Yeas: Jennifer Cravins, Tamie Sam, Judy Castille and CJ Allen.
Nays: None.
Motion Carried.
VII. New Business:

IX. Adjustments to customer’s accounts.
There were no adjustments.
X. Jennifer Cravins made a motion to accept the water usage report.
Seconded by Tamie Sam.

Nays: None.
Motion Carried.
XI. Jennifer Cravins made a motion to adjourn at 7 PM.
Seconded by Tamie Sam.
