21-year-old driver killed in St. Landry Parish crash

Qiana S. Orville, 21, of Opelousas, was killed in a single vehicle fatality crash on La. 167 near Bellridge Road in St. Landry Parish at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I.
State Police report the crash occurred as Orville was driving a 2002 Toyota Sequoia northbound on La. 167. For unknown reasons, as Orville entered a curve to the left the vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.
Despite the fact that she was properly restrained, Orville suffered fatal injuries.
Impairment is unknown at this time, but standard toxicology samples were obtained for analysis, police said.
