Auctioneer accused of writing $175K in worthless checks

The owner of an auction company is being sought for writing more than $150,000 in worthless checks, according to WAFB TV in Baton Rouge.
According to the WAFB report:
“Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported Jacob Brown, 36, is wanted by Louisiana State Police.
“He is 5-foot-7 and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
“Investigators said Brown, the sole owner of Brown’s Auction Company, LLC, signed a contract to provide auctioneering services for a customer.
“They added Brown’s company held two auctions for the customer in 2017, resulting him owing the customer about $175,000.
“According to authorities, both checks were returned unpaid.
“Brown will face two counts of issuing worthless checks over $25,000 and felony theft when caught.”
