St. Landry Crime Stoppers and is asking the public’s help in solving a July 4 burglary at Dave’s Monument in the Lawtell area.
The owner reported that she was notified that an older model black GMC Yukon was parked in front of the business at 8:20 p.m.
After reviewing the security cameras the owner noticed a black male removing various granite flower vases and bottom stones from the property and then loading them inside the vehicle.
The suspect is a black male heavy build and was wearing a t-shirt that read “started at the bottom” printed on it. The video shows that the suspect was accompanied by a woman and a young child.
The total loss of value is listed at over $1,000 dollars.
