A crash on La. 98 near Mamou Prairie Road in Acadia Parish shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday claimed the life of 42-year-old Jerry J. Menou of Iota. The initial investigation revealed Menou was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu onto La. 98 from a private driveway. Menou failed to yield and drove into the path of an eastbound 2007 Ford F150.
