Crowley man arrested with meth, pills

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Crowley man on multiple narcotics charges. The arrest occurred on October 21st on West 10th Street in Crowley.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. As deputies activated their lights and sirens, the suspect began to flee from deputies. The suspect vehicle fled disobeying multiple traffic controls. Deputies were able to get the vehicle stopped and take the suspect into custody without further incident.
“During the pursuit, the suspect threw several bags out of his vehicle which were recovered by deputies. Once the items were recovered, it was determined that these bags contained Alprazolam, Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, and Oxycodone” stated Sheriff KP Gibson.
Arrested was Byron Scott, 43 of Crowley. Scott was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for possession with intent to distribute (PWITD) Alprazolam, PWITD Methamphetamine, PWITD Hydrocodone, PWITD Oxycodone, and aggravated flight from an officer. Scott was also cited for several traffic violations.
“We will continue our fight against this illegal narcotics industry. I appreciate the work that all of our deputies are doing to make our parish as safe as possible” stated Sheriff Gibson.
