Death possibly weather-related

Though not confirmed as of press time Wednesday, Tuesday night’s freezing weather may have resulted in the death of a Crowley man.
Police and emergency personnel were called to the 300 block of Ross Avenue at about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday regarding a non-responsive man lying in the front yard, according to Police Chief Jimmy Broussard.
The Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office was contacted and transferred the body to the Calcasieu Forensics Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Broussard said the name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
