A Eunice man has been arrested by the State Fire Marshal’s Office for setting his mother’s vehicle on fire.
Linus Allison Jr., 25 was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on one count of simple arson and also booked at the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office for one count of theft of a motor vehicle in connection to the case, according to a news release from the State Fire Fire Marshal’s Office.
Eunice firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in the 500 block of Buckhorn Drive on May 12.
After fire marshal deputies were called to investigate, it was determined the fire was intentionally set.

Following an interview with fire marshal deputies, a warrant in connection with the fire was obtained and Allison Jr. was rebooked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.
