Xavier Watson was convicted of attempted second-degree murder after one hour of deliberation by a St. Landry Parish jury in February for shooting a 14-year-old twice in the abdomen on May 4, 2022.
Watson appealed his conviction and on Nov. 27 the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal rejected the appeal.
Watson was 31 years old when the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Acadia Street.
