The Eunice Fire Chief Michael Arnold announced Friday that the city’s fire rating has improved from 4 to 3.
The area outside of the city limits in St. Landry Fire District 6 and Acadia Fire District 4 also improved from a 6 to a 5, he stated.
The scores may result in a decrease in property insurance premiums for the residents of the area.
“Thanks to all the fire personnel for their efforts in obtaining a better grade,” Arnold stated.
