Grand Coteau man wanted in drug bust, $95,400 worth of suspected cocaine seized

Joseph Nathaniel Butler , 50, of 112 Key St., Grand Coteau, is wanted in connection with a drug bust in which $95,400 worth of suspected cocaine was seized.
The drug raid on a Key Street was made on Aug. 24 by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s detectives.
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, in a news release, stated Butler’s last known address was the Key Street address. Butler is described as a Black male with black hair, brown eyes and weighs 175 lbs. and is 5’-10”,
The arrest warrant on Butler states the following charges: illegal carrying of weapons, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (CDS) (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS (hydrocodone), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS (Oxycodone), possession with intent to distribute Schedule V CDS, illegal possession of stolen firearms, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Guidroz reported the following items were located in the search on Aug. 14 at 112 Key Street:
— Nearly one kilogram of suspected cocaine (approximately 954 grams) with a street value of $95,400. 
— 681 suspected Lortab pills with an estimated street value $3,405; 
— 1 pint of promethazine with an estimated street value of $200; 
— 100 suspected oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $1,000;
— $228 in U.S. currency;
— Two Marlin .22 rifles;
— SCCY 9mm CPX-2 semi-automatic pistol, which was reported stolen in another parish; 
— Bawer .25 caliber handgun; 
— Bersa .380 semi-automatic pistol; 
— Tipman Arms 22 rifle;
— Mossberg INT .22 rifle; 
— Smith & Wesson .38 Special;
— Draco 9mm semi-automatic pistol; 
— Tristar 12 gauge shotgun; and 
— Taurus .22 crack barrel.
