Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a residential burglary which occurred in the 700 block of Link Road in Branch between May 25 and 31.
According to Sheriff K.P. Gibson in a news release, entry was through an outdoor kitchen where the victim was residing and stole multiple long rifles and shotguns. Deputies observed no sign of forced entry. The estimated value is over $11,000.
The firearms reported stolen are:
Sears & Roebuck J.C. Higgins model .22 rifle; Brazztech C.C. Crack barrel .22/.410 rifle; Remington Versa Max 12 ga. shotgun; Stevens model 320 12 ga. shotgun; Marlin .22 Win mag rifle; Marlin 30-30 rifle; Remington Model 700 30-06 rifle with attached scope; Knight model kp1 45-70 Govt. rifle; Marlin Hardi .444 rifle with attached scope; Marlin 336w 30-30 rifle with attached scope; Henry youth .22 LR rifle; Henry .17Hmr rifle; Henry 30-30 rifle; Henry .44 Mag/.44 Spl rifle; Henry .45 Colt rifle; Henry .357 Mag/.38 Spl rifle; and Henry .22 Similar full rifle.
