Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is seeking information about a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday on Interstate 10 near Duson.
Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating the shooting death of Darrell J. Singleton, 31 of Breaux Bridge.
Singleton was traveling west on I-10 just before 3 a.m., when multiple shots were fired at his vehicle. Singleton’s vehicle exited the roadway where he was discovered deceased from gunshot wounds.
Law enforcement believes that Singleton was targeted by his assailants, thus this was not a random act. Investigators also believe that problems may have originated in the Breaux Bridge area where Singleton resides.
Anyone with information regarding the homicide is asked to call the tips line at 789-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
