Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant for the May 19, 2016, armed robbery of an Iota pharmacy. The arrest took place on Saint Lucy Road near Branch.
“Information was received about the location of this individual. Our deputies and Iota Police worked together apprehend the suspect in this case. Our deputies were able to locate and arrest the suspect without incident” stated Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
Deputies conducted surveillance on Saint Lucy Road and observed a vehicle leaving the location in question. Deputies performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and were able to locate and arrest Jeremy LeJeune, 33, of Branch. Lejeune was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail and booked on the armed robbery warrant.
“This was a good effort to get a potentially dangerous person off the streets of Acadia Parish. I applaud the effort of all that were involved in this investigation” stated Sheriff KP Gibson.
