Iota Volunteer Fire Department dedicates new truck

The Iota Volunteer Fire Department held a dedication ceremony June 10 for its new rescue truck.
The ceremony was held at the Volunteer Fire Department on South First Street, and the community was invited to attend. At the ceremony, the vehicle was blessed and dedicated and attendees were able to watch the traditional pushing of the fire truck.
Fire Chief David Douget said the new vehicle will improve the department’s service.
The department has two rescue units in service. This new vehicle will be the third unit for the department.
The new vehicle is a 2018 Ford, replacing a 1991 ambulance, according to Douget.
