A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested after a vehicle pursued from Ville Platte was stopped on La. 29 about a half mile from St. Mary Road at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said Eunice City Marshal and Ville Platte Police units made the stop.
The rear window of the vehicle had been shot out in Ville Platte, he said.
There were four people in the vehicle and the juvenile was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drug (cocaine), possession of Schedule I drug (MDMA), illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile and illegal carrying of weapons in presence of a controlled dangerous substance.
KLFY TV reported the shooting occurred at South Soileau and Edward Knotoe Thomas Jr. Street in Ville Platte.
