Mardi Gras suspect sought

Mamou Police are looking for a Kelsey Rochelle Mallet who has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after an altercation on Tuesday, during the Madi Gras festivities, just before 5 p.m. Mallet, 25, of Port Barre, stabbed 19-year-old Taylor Crump of Opelousas, twice in the chest puncturing his lung, according to a news release.
