Pine Prairie Police arrest man with Eunice warrant

A Pine Prairie man wanted on a probation warrant for the Eunice City Marshal’s Office was arrested recently by Pine Prairie Police for simple burglary and theft.
Pine Prairie Police received a report of a break-in and theft from Second Chance Flea Market on Rail Road Street on Thursday, a Pine Prairie Police news release stated.
After investigating the incident, 36-year-old Stacy P. Fontenot, of 985 9th St., Pine Prairie, became a suspect in the matter.
A stolen hand held jigsaw was recovered and Fontenot was arrested for the burglary and theft, police stated.
Police also learned that Fontenot had an outstanding warrant for Eunice City Marshal’s Office.
Fontenot was arrested and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail, and was held on $40,000 bail set by 13th Judicial District Judge Gary Ortego.
