Police pay proves a moving target

Last week the Eunice Board of Aldermen approved a pay raise for police officers to $16 an hour. And, Mayor Scott Fontenot said he would make the raise effective on June 25. The $16 an hour adds up to $33,280 a year and is up from $12.75 an hour. Other police department employees are to receive a $1 an hour raise.
