Sheriff: 5 charged after 4-wheeler sale turns into armed robbery

Four men were charged with armed robbery and a fifth man with drug charges after a 4-wheeler sale in the Mamou area turned into an armed robbery.
Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles Guillory said in a news release deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery on Feb. 16 on Greenwood Road near Tiger Lane, in the Mamou area.
Two males had come to the area to buy a four-wheeler, but when they arrived they were met by four males, Guillory stated.
“While waiting for the exchange to occur, The four male subjects pulled out handguns and robbed the victims of their money. The victims then fled the scene, in their truck and notified the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office of what had just occurred,” the news release stated.
Deputies located the suspect truck at a residence on Jamie Street in Mamou where they took all four suspects into custody without incident.
“Deputies also recovered four handguns which were used in the robbery, along with the stolen U.S. currency,” he stated.
Deputies also smelled marijuana coming from the residence and obtained a search warrant, he stated.
Illegal narcotics and a stolen handgun were found, he stated.
Arrested were:
— Keon Alfay Lebleu, 19, of hte 1500 block of Jamie Street, Mamou. Armed robbery, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and an outstanding warrant.
— Devontae Wilson, 21, of the 900 block of First Street, Mamou. Armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal carry/ discharging of a weapon.
— Jamie Adam Lebleu, 40, 1500 block of Jamie Street, Mamou. Possession with intent to distribute marijuana. possession of Suboxone, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm in presence of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled dangerous substance in presence of minor.
— Noah Markell Gallow, 19, 100 block of Dogwood Street, Chataignier. Armed robbery.
— Travous Alfred, 22, 1400 block of Hazel Street, Eunice. Armed robbery and aggravated assault.
