Student arrested for bomb threat

A 13-year-old student was arrested for making a bomb threat at Eunice Junior High School on Thursday.
Eunice Police said a student reported there was a threat about “go boom by second bell” on a urinal.
Police and firefighters were notified and the school was evacuated. Eunice Elementary also was evacuated.
The schools were searched and not device was found.
The evacuation ended about 9:30 a.m.
The parents of the student who reported the threat were contacted and other students were interviewed by police.
The student who reported the threat admitted he wrote the message, police said.
Eunice Police said they do not believe the threat was malicious in nature.
The juvenile was charged with false communication of a bomb threat and terrorizing.
