Tips sought in Crowley homicide

Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide which occurred before 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Kathy Apartment complex in Crowley.
Deputies located the victim behind a set of apartments with a single gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead by a representative from the Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office.
Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson said, “Deputies believe there may have been an argument / disturbance prior to the shooting. We are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything tied into this incident to call detectives at 788-8721 or Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-TIPS.”
The victim has been identified as James Francis, 66 of Crowley.
