Two victims were treated and released from an area hospital, but the suspect in a Friday night stabbing in Crowley remained hospitalized Saturday afternoon.
Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said the incident was reported Friday night in the West Fifth Street area of Crowley.
“Details are still a little sketchy at this time,” Broussard said in a phone interview Saturday afternoon. “The two victims are out of the hospital but the alleged stabber is still in a regional hospital with internal injuries.”
Broussard said charges are pending, adding that, since more than one victim is involved and the suspect allegedly also threatened a police officer, charges may be upgraded.
“Our officers are still investigating the incident and anyone with any information is urged to contact the Crowley Police Department at 788-1234 or call Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-TIPS / 789-8477,” Broussard said.
