The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an unresponsive infant in the Tulip Drive area on Oct. 27.
Deputy Patrick Martin found persons at the scene performing CPR on an infant. Martin took over CPR while awaiting the arrival of EMS (emergency medical services). Despite the efforts of the deputy and EMS, the infant never regained consciousness.
