State Fire Marshal deputies continue investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Church Point that claimed the life of a female resident.
At 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday the Church Point Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a residential fire located in the 400 block of South Broadway Street. Firefighters later located a female victim inside near a back door.
