Eunice Police were outside the station Thursday night when they heard gunshots coming from the Crestview Apartment area off La. 13.
An officer was “pretty close” to the scene doing surveillance as police planned an enforcement effort aimed at removing illegal guns from the streets, Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
Police went to the area where the shots were heard.
