Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office dputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Ye Ole Country Road just outside of Iota at 7:28 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies found a white female outside of the residence and determined she was deceased, according to a news release from Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
Investigators have been working this case over night and are continuing their investigation.
The case is being treated as a homicide.
