LSUE to host baseball tournament

A 10–team, four-day high school baseball tournament begins Thursday at LSU Eunice’s Bengal Stadium.
The teams involved are Eunice High, St. Edmund, Kinder, Iowa, St. Louis, DeRidder along with two teams from Barbe and Catholic High of Baton Rouge.
“It is exciting to get to see all the high school players on our field where we can evaluate them,” LSU head baseball coach Jeff Willis said. It is also a chance to showcase our campus to a lot of people that might not have been here.”
St. Edmund will take on Iowa at 5 p.m. today, followed by Eunice High – Kinder at 7:15 p.m.
There will be five game played on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. when St. Louis and DeRidder clash.
Catholic High of Baton Rouge 1 will face St. Louis der at 12:15 p.m., followed by DeRidder – Catholic High of Baton Rouge 2 at 2:30 p.m.
Eunice High will take on Iowa at 4:45 p.m., while St. Edmund will conclude Friday’s schedule against Kinder at 7 p.m.
The tournament continues with five more games on Saturday, beginning with Barbe 2 against Catholic 2 at 10 a.m.
St. Edmund will take on Barbe 2 at 12:15 p.m.
Barbe 1 and Catholic 1 will battle at 2:30 p.m.
Eunice High will face Barbe 1 at 4:45 p.m.
Saturday’s action concludes at 7 p.m. when Kinder takes on Iowa.
The Bengal summer tournament will finish with three games on Sunday, neginning with Barbe 2 facing Catholic BR 1 at 12 p.m.
Catholic wil then face DeRidder at 2:15 p.m.
The tournament concludes at 4:30 p.m. when St. Louis takes on St. Louis.
