Every team has high hopes heading into the football season with the plan to win their respective districts and make a deep run in the playoffs.
Eunice (6-5, 4-1) finished second in District 5-3A behind Northwest last season.
The Bobcats open the season at home Sept. 1 against Opelousas (2-8 in 2016) as the Tigers open the Doug Guillory era.
Eunice then entertains rival Jennings (11-2) as the Bulldogs advanced to the Class 3-A quarterfinals last season.
The Bobcats then travel to Rayne (10-2) to face a Wolves team that advanced to the second round of the Class 4-A playoffs.
Crowley visits Eunice on Sept. 22 in the district opener as the Gents attempt to bounce back from an 2-8 finish in 2016.
The Bobcats then travel to Church Point (3-8) before returning home to take on Port Barre (2-8) and new head coach Craig Stevens.
Eunice will make back-to-back road trips to Pine Prairie (3-7) and district newcomer Mamou (0-10).
A home showdown follows with defending district champions Northwest (12-1) as the Raiders look to continue from a quarterfinal playoff run in 2016.
The Bobcats close the regular season at Iota (2-8).
Mamou is moving up from District 4-2A, while Crowley is moving down from District 3-4A.

Church Point is looking to rebound from a losing season as the Bears open at Jennings before a home game against Abbeville (2-8).
Church Point visits Class 3-A state semifinalists Kaplan (13-1) before opening district play at Pine Prairie.
