After a third-place finish in district, the St. Edmund Blue Jays placed eight players on the 5-1A All-District football team.
The Blue Jays also had 10 named as honorable mention selections.
Westminster Christian Academy (8-3, 4-1) defeated Catholic High of Pointe Coupee (5-6, 4-1) but lost to Basile (3-8, 2-3).
After falling to WCA, Catholic of Pointe Coupee then went undefeated in district play.
St. Edmund (4-7, 3-2) lost to the top two teams but defeated False River (5-6, 2-3), Basile and North Central (0-11, 0-5).
St. Edmund senior lineman Jacque Richard was named to both first team offensive and defensive teams.
Senior Noah Russell was named first team offensive lineman and earned honorable mention as a defensive lineman.
Blue Jay freshman running back Luke Doucet earned first team honors.
Sophomore offensive lineman Drew Zaunbrecher was named to All-District offense second team.
Blue Jay senior Peter Miller was selected to the first team as a linebacker and earned honorable mention for his play at quarterback.
Sophomore Brad Miller earned first team recognition at defensive back and honorable mention at running back.
Senior lineman Alex Stelly was named to the second team defense.
Senior Jack Brown was named to the Honorable Mention list on offense and defense for his season as an offensive lineman and linebacker.
Other Blue Jays to earn Honorable Mention were Brock Bieber, Jack Miller, J.P. Ward, Michael Zaunbrecher and Chris Rozas.
District Co-MVP honors went to Catholic High of Pointe Coupee quarterback Nathan Carriere and False River Academy quarterback Damian Johnson.
Defensive MVP was Westminster Christian Academy linebacker Ken Jones.
No. 18 Basile lost to No. 15 Lincoln Prep (41-12), while North Central fell to Oberlin 43-0 in the Class 1-A playoffs.
No. 11 St. Edmund fell 35-7 to No. 6 Ascension Catholic in the Division IV playoffs, while No. 3 Southern Lab rolled to a 58-0 win over No. 14 Catholic of Pointe Coupee.
No. 4 Westminster opened the playoffs with a 27-0 win over No. 13 False River before facing No. 12 Central Catholic of Morgan City in the quarterfinals.
