All-District 4-1A team released

St. Edmund placed four players on the 4-1A All-District team.
Hamilton Christian and Grand Lake dominated the list after
Zion Stewart and Michael Thomas from Hamilton Christian head the first team, along with Grand Lake’s Kael Delcambre and Luke McCordle.
Elton’s Kervondrick Scott completes the All-District first team.
Thomas was named All-Disrict MVP, while Hamilton Christian’s Dexter Washington was named District Coach of the Year.
Simeon Bellow from Elton, Grand Lake’s Aaron Young, Brayden Richard from South Cameron along with Adrian Brown and Clavin McEntire from Hamilton Christian earned second team honors.
St. Edmund’s Henry Brown, Alex Dupre, Tyler Fonville and Easton Coleman earned Third Team All-District honors.
No. 22 St. Edmund grabbed a 53-34 win over Hanson Memorial in the opening round of the Divsion IV playoffs,
The Blue Jays then fell 69-25 to No. 6 Vermilion Catholic in the regional round.
No. 3 Hamilton Christian received a first-round bye before the Warriors grabbed a 69-33 win over No. 19 St. Frederick’s.
Hamilton Christian then rolled to a 73-42 win over Vermilion Catholic to advance to the semifinals where they beat no. 2 Central Catholic, 55-42.
The Warriors finished as the Division IV state runners-up as Lafayette Christian Academy earned a 56-51 victory in the title game.
No. 9 Grand Lake earned a 88-57 win over No. 24 Ringgold before falling 50-45 to No. 8 KIPP Booker T. Washington in the Class 1-A playoffs.
No. 13 Elton opened the playoffs with a 49-26 victory over No. 20 Gueydan, but the Indians then fell 80-43 to No. 4 Delhi.
No. 30 Oberlin lost 79-22 to No. 3 Jonesboro-Hodge in the first round.
No. 31 South Cameron was pushed out in the opeing round with a 57-23 loss to No. 2 North Central as the Hurricanes went on to capture the Class 1-A title.
