St. Edmund started the week strong with wins over Sacred Heart of Ville Platte and District 4-1A foe Oberlin.
Against the Tigers, the Blue Jays (14-6) exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the first and held on for a 15-10 win.
Jack Miller walked and scored on a double by Brock Bieber, while Carter Lejeune bunted and Brad Miller walked to load the bases.
Lejeune scored when Dawson Ardoin was hit by a pitch and later a double by Ian Dupre pushed the Jays ahead, 4-0.
Remi Guillory singled in Ardoin, while Garrett Dubois scored on a sacrifice by Will Turk.
Jack Miller completed the first inning barrage when he doubled in Guillory and the Jays led 7-0.
Oberlin responded with five runs in the top of the second aided by two hit batters and a Blue Jay error.
St. Edmund answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, begun by a solo home run by Bieber.
Bryce Vidrine reached on a fielder’s choice and later scored on an error as the Jays pushed ahead, 9-5.
Oberlin battled back with three runs in the top of the third to close the margin to 9-8.
St. Edmund pushed a run across in the bottom of the fourth when Ardoin tripled and scored when Vidrine reached on an error.
The Blue Jays exploded for four runs in the bottom of the fifth frame, begun when Jack Miller singled on scored on a hit by Bieber.
Lejeune singled and scored on a hit by Ardoin that also drove in Bieber.
St. Edmund added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth when Guillory doubled and scored to push the Jays ahead, 15-8.
Oberlin battled back with two runs in the top of the seventh aided by two walks and an error to close the margin to 15-10.
St. Edmund used three pitchers in the win including Brad Miller (5 runs allowed, two hits, 1 K and 2 BB), Vidrine (5 runs, 4 hits, 6 K, 5 BB) and Guillory (0 runs, 0 hits, 2 K).
The Blue Jays finished with 15 hits in the win, led by Bieber (4-for-5, 3 RBI) and Ardoin (3-for-3, 3 RBI).
Jack Miller finished 2-for-3 with a RBI, while Lejeune went 2-for-4 with a walk.
Dupre went 2-for-3 with walk and two RBI, while Guillory finished 2-for-4 with a RBI.

Blue Jay pitcher Dawson Ardoin earned complete game win as St. Edmund grabbed a 3-1 win over rival Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
The Blue Jays grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Jack Miller singled and scored on a ground out by Brock Bieber.
St. Ed’s pushed ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning when Carter Lejeune tripled to centerfield and later stole home.
Sacred Heart closed the gap to 2-1 in the top of the fifth frame when Garrett Fontenot advanced on an error and scored on Cannon Beaver’s fielder’s choice.
The Blue Jays added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Ardoin doubled and courtesy runner Hunter Brown scored on a sacrifice bunt by Ian Dupre.
The Trojans (9-10) threatened in the top of the seventh inning when Nick Perry singled, Drew Bordelon reached on an error and Wesley Launey walked to load the bases.
But the Blue Jay defense held to preserve the 3-1 win.
Ardoin allowed one run on four hits with five strikeouts and a walk.
Ardoin helped his cause with a 2-for-3 performance, while Will Turk went 2-for-2 for the Jays.
Jack Miller went 1-for-3 with a run scored, while Lejuene went 1-for-2 with a run scored.
St. Edmund (13-6, 1-0) faces Merryville 5 p.m. today in a District 4-1A contest.
