Merryville jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning, but the Blue Jays then went on a 16-0 run as St. Edmund rallied for the District 4-1A win.
The Panthers (7-12, 0-3) took advantage of two walks, a hit batter and three Blue Jay errors to take the five-run lead.
But the Blue Jays (15-6, 3-0) began the comeback in the bottom of the second inning when Brad Miller Dawson Ardoin and Ian Dupre walked to load the bases.
Brad Miller scored on a sacrifice by Wesley Driggs, while Ardoin and courtesy runner Henry Brown on a single by Will Turk.
St. Edmund exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good, begun when Carter Lejeune bunted, stole both second and third before scoring when Ardoin drew a bases-loaded walk.
A hit by Bryce Vidrine drove in Brock Bieber and Brad Miller as the Blue Jays grabbed a 6-5 lead.
Ardoin scored on a sacrifice by Ian Dupre, while Vidrine scored on a double by Turk.
Jack Miller singled in Turk as the Jays pushed ahead, 9-5.
The rally continued as Lejeune and Bieber singled before a balk scored Jack Miller.
Ardoin was hit by a base-loaded pitch to plate Lejeune for a 11-5 Blue Jay lead.
St. Edmund sealed the mercy-rule win with a five-run surge in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Dupre doubled and Driggs bunted before Turk singled in courtesy runner Brown.
Jack Miller was hit by a pitch to load the bases and then Lejeune doubled in Driggs and Turk.
Jack Miller scored on a sacrifice fly by Brad Miller, while the Jays; final run came when Lejeune scored on a hit by Vidrine.
Bieber allowed five runs on five hits with two walks over four innings.
Remi Guillory threw an inning and allowed one hit with one strikeout.
Turk went 3-for-3 with four RBI, while Lejeune finished 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Vidrine went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Bieber finished 2-for-4.
St. Edmund visits St. Martinville on Monday before traveling to Hamilton Christian Tuesday.
