ALEXANDRIA – St. Edmund performed well at the Div. IV Region 2 tennis competition with nine players advancing to the state tournament.
The state tournament will be held Thursday and Friday in Monroe.
Jillian DeVillier and Julia Zaunbrecher cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Torris and Lydia Nations before beating Catherine Costello and Corinne Naomi of the Academy of Sacred Heart 6-2, 6-4.
