Bobcats clip Teurlings, 53-45

Eunice held a 13-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and held off a late Teurlings Catholic run as the Bobcats grabbed a 53-45 win over the Rebels.
The game was a battle early on as Teurlings jumped out to a 6-3 lead over EHS.
Fred Guillory nailed a trey and Kevin Thomas added a three point play to give the Bobcats an 8-7 advantage.
Terrance Shilow scored off an inbounds pass and Gavin Oliver followed with a trey to increase the Bobcats’ lead to 13-7.
Teurlings’ Bradford Cain scored twice in the final 30 seconds of the quarter to help the Rebels close the gap to 13-11.
Guillory and Treylon Cooper pushed in buckets to begin the second period as EHS moved ahead, 17-14.
The Bobcats exploded for an 11-0 run, sparked by nine points from Shaun Hudson.
Teurlings responded with six straight points to close the margin to 28-20.
Hudson drilled a trey for the Bobcats before a late bucket off a steal by Collin Sinitiere closed Eunice’s lead to 31-22 at intermission.
The two teams battled for control in the third period as the Bobcats outscored Teurlings Catholic, 13-9.
A baseline jumper by Shilow and a three-pointer from Simeon Ardoin pushed the Bobcats up, 36-24.
The Rebels closed the margin to seven points on a bucket by Matthew Marceaux and trey from Caleb Thomas.
The Bobcats answered with an 8-0 run including four points from Cooper, and buckets by Shilow and Guillory.
Marceaux scored off an inbounds pass with two seconds left as TC closed the gap to 44-31.
Ju Guy pushed in a put-back bucket for the Rebels to open the final period, but Treylon Cooper answered with a trey for the Bobcats.
Teurlings rallied with a 10-0 surge including six points from Marceaux as the Rebels pulled closer, 47-43.
Shilow then scored four points to help the Bobcats push their lead to eight points with 2:54 left in the game.
Sinitiere scored off a steal, but Ardoin’s steal and lay-up sealed the win for the Bobcats.
Hudson led the Bobcats with 12 points, Cooper chipped in 11 points and Shilow contributed 10 points.
Marceaux led Teurlings (14-10) with 14 points.
Eunice (11-4, 1-1) entertains North Vermilion (6-8, 0-3) Friday.
The Bobcats are presently No. 15 in the LHSAA Class 4-A power rankings.
