Eunice opened District 4-4A play with a 56-39 win over North Vermilion.
The Bobcats (9-3, 1-0) travel to Mamou (6-13) on Friday in a non-district battle with the Green Demons.
Eunice opened the game with a 13-7 run, aided by five points from Shaun Hudson and four points by Treylon Cooper.
The Bobcats continued to control the game with a 10-4 second surge as Eunice took a 23-11 advantage into intermission.
Three-pointers by Ty’shun Joseph and Kevin Thomas led the Bobcats along with buckets by Fred Guillory and Hudson.
Eunice out-scored the Patriots 17-10 in the third period as the Bobcats pushed ahead, 40-21.
Dedric Vigers scored seven points in the period, while Terrance Shilow hit a trey and Joseph added three points.
Rontrel Broussard led the Patriots with eight points in the period.
North Vermilion (5-5, 0-1) rallied for an 18-16 fourth quarter to close the final margin to 17 points.
Broussard scored eight points in the quarter for the Patriots to finish with 18 points.
Six different Bobcats scored in the period, led by Braylen Williams’ seven points.
Vigers, Guillory, Hudson and Joseph all pushed in a bucket, while Cooper added a free throw.
Vigers led EHS with 11 points ad Hudson chipped in nine points.
Guillory and Joseph both contributed eight points, while Cooper and Williams finished with seven points each.
