Bobcats hold football awards ceremony

The Eunice High football athletic awards program was held Wednesday.
After touching on some of the honors and accomplishments of the team, head coach Paul Trosclair presented a plaque to coach John McLemore to honor his years of service to the football program.
McLemore is retiring from coaching at the end of this season.
Trosclair then turned the program over to his assistant coaches to present certificates to the undergraduate classes.
Individual special achievement awards were presented to players who earned honors for their performance during the season, including all-district and statistical leaders.
Trosclair then recognized the 22-senior class, along with senior trainers Callie Fabacher and Grace Toepfer.
Brad Sonnier, William McLemore, Austin Deculus, and Brian Lopez were honored as academic all-state selections.
The Scholastic Award was presented to Lopez and the Faize Mahfouz Award for extreme dedication was presented to Dameon Frank and Kelin Carriere.
Brody Gaspard was presented the Leadership Award and the Sportsmanship Award was presented to Harold Fontenot.
The Coaches Award for effort and attitude was given to William McLemore and Caleb Sattler.
The Jerry Hoffpauir Award was presented to Avery Lee and the Joe Nagata Memorial Award for most improved was presented to Christian Goleman and Rodrick Price.
The program ended with a highlight film of the 2017 season.
